Accenture Strengthens Semiconductor Innovation Through Acquisition of Cientra

of Cientra, which provides its expertise in embedded IoT and application-specific integrated circuit design and verification. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Cientra's 530 engineers and practitioners will join Accenture’s Advanced Technology, further expanding the company's engineering, development, and testing capabilities in the automotive, telecommunications, and high-tech industries.

Accenture, with approximately 750,000 employees serving clients in over 120 countries, specializes in building digital cores, optimizing operations, and accelerating revenue growth for leading businesses and governments. The acquisition of Cientra follows Accenture’s recent addition of Excelmax Technologies and XtremeEDA, reinforcing its commitment to expanding its silicon design and engineering capabilities. Karthik Narain, Group Chief Executive of Technology at Accenture, emphasized that the demand for next-generation silicon products is driven by advancements in data centers, cloud computing, wireless technologies, edge computing, and AI proliferation. Cientra CEO Anil Kempanna highlighted the acquisition as an opportunity for global expansion and growth, benefiting clients and employees alike.
