If recent events have proven anything, it’s that hospitals can use all
Intelligent Locations is an Internet of Things company that helps hospitals solve persistent problems of inefficiency, affordability, and accessibility. It utilizes artificial intelligence and predictive modeling via a platform powered by Bluetooth Low Energy technology, which uses quarter-sized beacons affixed to assets and patients. Tracking maps, analytics, and key performance indicators are then accessible from a HIPAA-compliant, intuitive mobile app and web-based interface.
Its founder, Bogdan Nedelcu, was born in Romania and grew up in France. His company currently has a customer service center in Chicago and a development center in Romania, with plans to launch a research & development center in France in the near future.
Last year, Intelligent Locations partnered with Connexient, the leader in digital wayfinding for healthcare, to deliver enterprise-class Digital Wayfinding and Real-time Location System (RTLS) services to healthcare customers via a common Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Beacon infrastructure. The firm deployed the Unified Location Architecture at all four hospitals in Greensboro, NC’s Cone Health System.
Recently, Intelligent Locations announced another strategic partnership, this time with SAS. Access to SAS Analytics through the cloud-based Intelligent Locations platform will help organizations create deeper operational insights, leading to better decision making through super charge patient and asset tracking, environmental monitoring, and contact tracing efforts.
The collaboration will begin with offering SAS Event Stream Processing and SAS Visual Analytics to new and existing Intelligent Locations customers.
"This partnership strengthens the product we offer our healthcare customers," Nedelcu said in a statement. "It gives them a 'mission control' dashboard for running hospitals. Real-time trends that show the availability of equipment and patient beds is of critical importance – especially now as the pandemic rages in many parts of the world. By combining Intelligent Locations and SAS, hospital executives will now have the insight to make decisions they never thought possible."
