Just two years after their founding, cybersecurity company Cyemptive Technologies gained major recognition in 2018, when they won the Department of Homeland Security’s Border Security Technology Consortium (BSTC) competition. Out of
As ransomware attacks continue to grow, Cyemptive Technologies’ proactive approach is much needed. The company is known for their non-traditional approach to eliminating cyberthreats: by monitoring the state of files, rather than the state of APIs, they are able to identify and remove issues before they become wider problems. Their technology prevents ransomware attacks from reaching advanced perimeter firewalls, and includes automatic troubleshooting and self-healing recovery. As the company seeks to expand its impact within the fields of computer forensics, cyber compliance, and customer service, Cyemptive is also working to grow its technology portfolio and client base. That’s where Interpreting Technology comes in.
Interpreting Technology focuses on business IT support, with services that include security compliance, virtualization, and backup. In their decision to acquire Interpreting Technology, Cyemptive’s Chief Strategy Officer and former Microsoft CIO Jim DuBois cited the company’s computer forensics expertise as well as their work in the development of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification vetting program for Department of Defense contractors. This is Cyemptive’s second acquisition, following that of Adaptive Technology Group in April 2019, a company which provides IT services and support to mid-size organizations.
The company has drawn its leadership from a variety of highly regarded senior technology and operations executives within cybersecurity-related fields. In mid-May, they also brought on cybersecurity expert Bryan Seely as Senior Security Architect. He was the first hacker to have successfully wiretapped the US’s Secret Service and the FBI, a claim to fame which he’s followed with years of work protecting organizations from cyberattacks. At Cyemptive, his work will be centered on designing, building, and overseeing the implementation of network and computer security for Cyemptive’s business and government customers.
