after trust has been established through consistent performance. Such is the case with SAIC and Orange County.

Recently, the county announced it had awarded the publicly traded IT behemoth with a 53 month contract to perform a variety of areas including data center, desktop, service desk, applications, and overall IT service management.

“This contract extension is a testament to our success in delivering high performance IT managed services to the County of Orange,” said Bob Genter, executive vice president and general manager of the Civilian Markets Customer Group. “We are committed to helping the county continue to reduce costs, improve operational efficiencies, and improve services to residents.”

Orange County operates its organization through 25 departments in order to serve its over 3 million residents in the areas of public safety, public health, environmental protection, regional planning, public assistance, social services, and aviation.

SAIC is comprised over 23,000 professionals and is headquartered in Reston VA. It generates annual revenues of approximately $6.5 billion. It has long been considered a premier technology integrator with specializations in defense, space, civilian, and intelligence markets.
