On May 23, 2024, global professional services company Capgemini and energy solutions supplier Schneider Electric revealed a new partnership and unveiled the Energy Command Center, a state-of-the-art platform for energy management. This innovative solution aims to help organizations monitor and manage Capgemini's skills in data integration, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software integration are combined with Schneider Electric's connected devices, edge control, and advisory applications in the Energy Command Center to provide a holistic platform for decision-making.The platform, which makes use of AI, machine learning, and IoT technology, calculates and forecasts important metrics including energy intensity, asset health, and renewable energy output. A prototype tested across Capgemini’s operations in India since 2022 demonstrated significant results, achieving a 29% reduction in energy consumption in 2023 compared to a 2019 baseline. Capgemini CEO Aiman Ezzat expressed excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing its potential to empower organizations in managing and accelerating their energy decarbonization pathways.
