Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google, TCS’ cloud arm, and a cloud consulting arm and aim to transform TCS’ customer experience through specialized services.

According to the President of Business and Tech Services of TCS, Krishnan Ramanujam, with the division, the company is “looking for a very solid scaling and exponential growth in each one of the platforms, whether it is AWS, Google or Azure, or IBM.” The company is India’s largest software service exporter and has been expanding its cloud services for seven years. By dividing their cloud services, TCS will be able to better facilitate digital transformations and increase profits benefiting both TCS and its partners. Analysts expect each unit to generate several billions of dollars in revenue in just five years.

Each unit will operate under a vice president responsible for the unit’s revenue performance. To manage production and generate analytical insight, each unit will also have a shadow P&L. These units will apply contextual knowledge to their production and look at cross-functional and hybrid cloud business opportunities. TCS is also launching a consulting offering with a focus on cloud strategy and transformation. As of now, all five units are going to report directly to Ramanujam.

In April of 2019, TCS partnered with Google to create industry specific cloud services. In November of the same year, they also launched a Microsoft Business Unit to enhance the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning. TCS will be working with companies in various industries to increase knowledge and reach about 50,000 Microsoft technology trained engineers, allowing clients to gain access to artificial intelligence, automatic equipment, and cloud services.

TCS is pushing toward a sizable increase in growth. Ramanujam also hinted at further cloud-related acquisitions in the future. The company’s continuous growth and streamlining of cloud services allows for relevance in an increasingly digitalized world.

TCS’ trajectory leans on digital transformation and data driven insight through their division of cloud services.  By utilizing five strategic units and joining with many companies across industries, TCS will provide customers with advanced products and specialized cloud services.
