Susan Penfield is an Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Booz Allen Hamilton, a government and military contractor, specializing in intelligence. She leads the firm’s strategic innovation group (SIG) and is a member of Booz Allen’s leadership team. She also serves as an executive vice president of Booz Allen Hamilton Holding Corporation.
Susan came to Booz Allen 28 years ago and has transformed numerous business units during her tenure. Penfield accelerates growth through mission-centric innovation and infrastructure by exploring technology innovation, driving the adoption of reusable solutions and new business models, and enabling enterprise technology. Prior to her current role, she led the company’s strategic innovation initiatives. She also led the firm’s billion-dollar digital business spanning the defense, national security, and civilian sectors.
In addition, Penfield led the firm’s health business, advancing it to become the firm’s largest and fastest-growing account and providing transformational consulting and technology to public-and private-sector healthcare clients. She earned a bachelor’s in technology management from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania and a certificate in management from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Business.
