George Atalla is EY’s Global Leader for Government and Infrastructure, which includes more than 22,000 professionals across developed and emerging markets providing consulting, strategy, assurance and tax services. Since 2014, Atalla has overseen a year-on-year double-digit growth of EY’s large government business, and worked on expanding its service offerings, global scale, and recognition as a preeminent advisor to governments around the world. Notably, Atalla has worked in over 60 countries, helping governments solve their most challenging problems. His expertise includes: technology enabled transformation, public private partnerships, business outsourcing, restructuring, organizational transformation, policy reform and investment prioritization.
Working with clients and EY teams worldwide, Atalla leads the development of services and solutions in digital government, public finance management and smart cities. He has authored several papers and insights that position EY as a thought leader in government policy and modernization. Prior to joining EY, Atalla was Vice President & Partner at Booz & Company (now Strategy&, the strategy consulting business unit of PWC). A licensed professional engineer, Atalla has earned graduate degrees in engineering and business administration from Northwestern University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and George Washington University.
